I work hard and have a burning passion inside of me for every project I'm a part of. Whatever I can do, I do with efficiency, clear communication, and speed. Whatever I can't do, I will learn. I am used to developing new skills for projects and can adapt to any task. I love being a good team member and project manager, and will create a good environment in any team.
I'm experienced with 2D, 3D, Mobile, and VR game development. I am most experienced creating games with c# using the Unity game engine, but I'm a flexible programmer who can learn and adapt to whatever I need to take on any project. I've designed websites with HTML and CSS, I've created mobile applications using Swift and xCode, and I'm familiar with many different programming studios (Visual Studio 2015/2017/2019/Code, Dreamweaver, Animate, Monodevelop, etc).
I have a passion for 2D art and animation. My drawing program of choice is Paint Tool Sai, but I am also experienced in Photoshop. I'm skilled in both frame by frame animation and 2D rigged animation. I've been the team lead for multiple animation projects, including a content update for a nationwide curriculum for deaf and hard of hearing students, and a four minute animation demonstrating the struggles of elderly citizens going through Alzheimer's.
3D modelling and animation is one of my favorite passions. Blender is my tool of choice when 3D modeling, but I am also familiar with Maya and I'm confident in my ability to understand any 3D modeling software. I've made 3D assets and textures for school projects, including a WW1 packing simulator where I accurately modelled equipment and soldiers for the Idaho State Penitentiary.
The GIMM development team at Boise State University takes problems or needs from the community and works
on technology based solutions.
I was the team lead and lead programmer of a five level educational puzzle game
called Jaques’ Tale, a mobile adventure following a young adventurer mouse searching
for a fallen wishing star. This game is meant to be an introduction for lessons on
neurons by comparing them to stars and constellations in the night sky.
I was the team lead for a four minute animation about a couple dealing with
Alzheimer’s. It was made to be shown during a presentation by our client.
I am the art lead for an app for the Foundation for Literacy curriculum, helping children
bridge the gap between American Sign Language and written and spoken English. We
are taking their content and updating the art by redrawing it in a modern cartoon style
and adding small engaging animations.

I have been working with a child on the autism spectrum on developing his multimedia skills. We primarily have worked on games together using the Unity game engine but we regularly like to try new things in the realm of programming, graphic design, and 3D art.

As a peer mentor for my major I used my experience with computer programs
like Adobe Animate and Photoshop to help the freshmen classes.
This job gave me the responsibilities of community building within our major as well as
general maintenance of the GIMM Studio and its equipment.

GIMM is the adventure I've been on for the last four years. Our director, Dr. Anthony Ellertson, puts it best when he says GIMM is a graduate program disguised as an undergraduate program. Our method of learning was by creating and doing, starting and finishing multiple portfolio pieces each semester.
GIMM is where I learned how and why I create things. Being a developer isn't just about having the skills to create different types of media, it's also about understanding the relationship between technology and user and how we can improve that relationship.
I've learned how to manage teams and handle clients. I've made many close connections with those I've worked with and I've seen firsthand the amazing work that can be done when people unite to create.
AUG 2012 - MAY 2016
I spent my high school electives focusing on learning different foreign languages, a skill that would transfer very well to learning programming languages. The best way to learn any language is to use it often and put yourself in it's environment. The more you learn, the easier it is to adapt to more.
I'd love to be a part of what you're making! Please contact me.
